The Bryan County Assessors' Office locates, inventories, and sets values for all taxable property within Bryan County. The Board of Assessors is appointed and charged by law with the responsibility of independent oversight and preparation of the annual local property assessments.

Assessment Notices were mailed on June 4, 2019. The last day to appeal is July 19, 2019. All appeals must be made in writing on the proper form. You may return the appeal form by mail or in person at our offices.

We will not accept any appeals sent in via e-mail or fax. All mail must be postmarked by the deadline in order to be considered. Metered mail date stamps do not count as a postmark.

It is important to note that the Assessors' Office does not set the tax rate, nor are they involved in any way with collecting taxes. The primary function of the Assessors' Office is to value property in a fair and uniform manner.
