The County is accepting letters of interest to fill a vacany on the Planning and Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment
The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is accepting letters of interest to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment. There is currently a vacancy on this board. The Planning and Zoning Commission is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on: rezoning, conditional use, and preliminary plat applications; proposed zoning and subdivision ordinance amendments; and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan. Additionally, this board reviews and makes final decisions on minor subdivision applications and modifications to design criteria. The Planning and Zoning Commission also serves as the Board of Adjustment. In this capacity, the Board of Adjustment reviews and is the final decision maker on variance applications and appeals of administrative decisions.
Any Bryan County resident over the age of 18 interested in serving on this board may submit a letter of interest to the County Clerk, Donna Waters, either via email firstname.lastname@example.org – or U.S. mail – 51 North Courthouse Street, Pembroke, GA 31321. This board meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Meeting locations alternate each month: even month meetings are in Richmond Hill and odd month meetings are in Pembroke.
