Public Works Operating Foreman

The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for a Full Time Operating Foreman in the Public Works Department.
Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of work crews in the construction and repair of County roadways. Lays out right-of-ways on new road and parking lot construction projects; sets grades for roads, ditches, parking lots and culverts. Assists work crews and operates heavy equipment and mosquito control equipment when required. Erects road signs and traffic control barriers around work sites when necessary. Inspects bridges and culverts for any possible obstruction and for overall safety.
High School diploma or GED required; three years of experience in road construction and maintenance, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Supervisory experience preferred.
